Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program
CELPIP
The Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) is the test to evaluate English proficiency of non-native speakers and is required for immigration purposes and for proceeding certain courses for professional designations. It is a computer-based test and provides quick results. Another benefit of taking this test is that it involves single North American accent. It is offered in two formats.
CELPIP - GENERAL TEST
This test evaluates reading, writing, listening and writing skills of candidates in a 3-hour long test and is accepted by IRCC for Permanent Residency applications. It is also acceptable to take up courses for certain professional designations.
CELPIP - LS GENERAL TEST
This test evaluates listening and speaking skills of candidates in an hourlong test and is approved by IRCC for citizenship applications.
